Are there any hidden costs?

No, the price that you get on the booking is the full amount you have to pay, including all extra cost and 24% VAT.

What am I paying for?

- Unlimited milage

- CDW & TP insurance

- Cheaper fuel at Olis/ÓB

- Shuttle service pick up & drop off at Keflavík airport

- Free cancelation for cancellations made no less than 48 hours before the pick up.

Can I rent with a debit card?

Debit and prepaid credit cards are accepted, if the renter takes the premium insurance package.

Where do I drop off the car?

Our drop off locations are at our Keflavík Office and Reykjavík Office. Our airport shuttle service in our Keflavík Office is operating from 07:00 – 23:00. You can drop the car outside of these hours and leave the keys in our keybox.

Where do I pick up my car?

We offer pick ups from 07:00 and 23:00. Our Airport shuttle can pick you up from the airport or Hotels in the Keflavík area.

What is your cancelation policy?

You can get a full refund on your rental car order until 48 hours before the reserved start time of the booking. In case of no-show or early returns, no refund will be made.

What is the minimum rental period?

The minimal rental period is 72 hours, if you do not need the 72 hours you can return the car early, but the minimum rental charge is 72 hours.

What is the minimum age of a driver?

The minimun age of a driver is 20 years old and must have had a drivers license for at least 12 months. For SUVs the driver must be 21 years old.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

We do not hold a deposit from our customers while they have a rental car. We need to see a valid credit card that was used for the booking on arrival, we will only hold the imprint of the card as a guarantee.

If the renter has a debit card, you have to pay a deposit that covers your insurance excess.

What documentations do I need?

The driver‘s valid drivers license (Additional drivers drivers license if that applies), a valid passport and a valid credit/debit card.

The drivers license must be in English og Latin characters. If that does no apply make sure you bring an international drivers license.

What insurances do you offer?

We offer three types of insurance; base, medium and premium. You can find all the information about our insurances in the insurance tab.

Can I drive on F-roads?

Often far into the summer F-roads (i.e. F210) and mountain (highland) roads can be impassable, these roads are known for strong winds. F-roads can cause damages to the car since they are not regularly maintained, these roads often have large holes and rocks. This can be very costly for the renter since these roads can severely damage the underbody of the car. F-roads are only suitable for AWD & 4x4 vehicles.

Off driving (driving off the established roads and tracks) is illegal and forbidden everywhere in Iceland. By breaking these laws you can be in danger of high fines and even imprisonment.

Roads F88 and F894 (Öskjuleið), F249 (Þórsmörk) and F578 (Arnarvatnsvegur) are only suitable for large 4x4.

Road 550, road 35 and road 570 are only suitable for 4x4 vehicles, even though not marked as F-road
